Today,Indian Markets closed on positive note on positive Asian and European cues.Sensex was up 1.47 percent up 140.36 points to close at 9,708.50 following cues from Asian markets.NSE closed the day 1.42 percent higher, to settle at 3,020.95.Market breadth remained strong as 1551 stocks closed in green while 903 stocks closed in red and 88 stocks remained unchanged in BSE.BSE Midcap closed up 2.24 percent up 64.77 points to 2,955.36 and Small Cap indices gained 1.46 percent up 46.58 points to 3,246.63.

Bse Realty index was up 3.64 percent up 55.14 points to 1,571.56.DLF Ltd. was up 1.00 percent up 1.65 to close at 167.20.HDIL was up 4.46 percent up 3.50 to close at 81.90.Unitech Ltd. was up 3.71 percent up 1.25 to close at 34.95.

Bse Bankex index was up 1.78 percent up 78.48 points to 4,492.95.ICICI Bank was down 1.58 percent down 5.35 to close at 332.60.Punj. Nationl Bank was up 3.46 percent up 13.75 to close at 410.90.Axis Bank Ltd. was up 4.30 percent up 17.10 to close at 414.50.SBI was up 4.36 percent up 44.55 to close at 1,066.55.

Bse Metal index was up 2.07 percent up 117.32 points to 5,775.00.Tata Steel was up 5.02 percent up 9.85 to close at 206.00.Sterlite Indus. was up 1.37 percent up 4.80 to close at 355.65.Steel Authority was up 3.32 percent up 3.10 to close at 96.45.Hindalco Indus. was up 3.39 percent up 1.70 to close at 51.90.

Bse Oil&Gas index was up 1.83 percent up 128.03 points to 7,120.41.Reliance Inds. was up 0.49 percent up 7.50 to close at 1,523.20.Cairn India Ltd. was up 2.00 percent up 3.60 to close at 184.05.GAIL (India) Ltd. was up 5.19 percent up 12.05 to close at 244.25.Aban Offshore Ltd. was up 4.68 percent up 17.85 to close at 399.65.

Top Gainers were Bhushan Steel Ltd. up 19.92 percent, Siemens Ltd. up 10.04 percent,JSW Steel up 8.54 percent, Indiabulls Real Esta up 8.07 percent.Top losers were National Alumini down 5.07 percent,KSK Energy Ventures down 4.09 percent,Oriental Bank down 2.96 percent,Andhra Bank down 2.71 percent.

European markets are trading lower with FTSE trading up 2.8 percent up 105.24 points at 3868.15.CAC40 is up 1.7 percent up 46.34 to 2765.68.DAX is trading up 0.84 percent up 33.47 to 4022.7.

Asian Markets are plunged with Hang Seng Index closed up 0.89 percent up 119.69 points to 13576.02,NIKKEI Index closed down 1.54 percent down 126.55 points to 8109.53,China closed up 0.64 percent up 15.17 points to 2373.21.Crude oil prices are trading at $48.69 a barrel .
